The W824 midi sized lathe continues to be the best seller. It is a size which can accomplish most of the projects turners are likely to try and is the largest lathe which can comfortably be moved off the bench when not in use. We have developed ours further this year to now include an indexing system on the headstock spindle as well as more robust electronics.

W824 Features

• The bed of the lathe is one-piece precision ground cast iron giving 14" between centres when working with our new heavy duty centres, which are supplied as standard
• The bowl turning capacity of 12" diameter over the bed, requires a very low speed which is achieved using a converter and a DC motor
• A clear LCD display shows the current RPM.
• The tool rest banjo is a cam-lock design for rapid adjustments with all metal components
• The tool rest is made from hardened steel
• The headstock is hollow centred to allow for easy tool removal, the tailstock is also hollow and has automatic centre removal

• A compact scroll chuck, with the jaws adjusted by a geared mechanism for simple one handed operation
• Self centring, high precision design. Ideal for Mini and Midi sized lathes
• The standard dovetail jaws can grip the workpiece both internally or externally depending on the style and shape of the piece to be turned
• The chuck fits directly onto the W824 lathe
• Supplied with dovetail jaws, wood screw, T-bar for locking the jaws, T-handled hex key for swapping the jaws and 3/4" x 16tpi insert
