Overview

The benchtop mortiser JBM-5 is ideal for a basic mortise production and offers reliability and accuracy similar to that of a professional machine. Despite its fewer opportunities of mortise depth and maximal chisel diameter, this machine is still a good power tool for mass production of mortises. The mortiser is compact, mobile and easy to use in the workshop or on a building site. Sophisticated mechanisms help to make your work easier. A gas spring compensates for the weight of the engine. There is a gear mechanism with a guidance system and a long lever for simple mortising. Vertical clamping of workpiece. Simple and accurate clamping of chisel. To clamp the drill with a shorter stem, you can buy an extension for three-jaw chuck as an optional accessory.

The hollow square mortise chisels are ideal for production of square mortises. The drill inside a square sleeve first drills a small round hole and the square sleeve then knocks out sharp edges around the hole. The drill is spindle driven whilst the sleeve is stationary. The corners are knocked out thanks to the stroke of special spikes, which drive into the material.
